An Emerging BRICS Vision for the Global South
In anticipation of India’s BRICS presidency in October 2026, the Chintan Research Foundation, in collaboration with CUTS International, convened a symposium titled “An Emerging BRICS + Vision for the Global South.” The forum brought together diplomats, policymakers, and scholars to reassess India’s role within the BRICS framework and explore prospects for revitalizing intra-BRICS cooperation. Taking place shortly after the 17th BRICS Summit in July 2025, the dialogue examined the evolving dynamics of bilateral and multilateral relations amid India’s cautious foreign policy recalibration, offering nuanced insights into opportunities, challenges, and strategic pathways shaping the future of BRICS engagement.
