About Centre for Climate Change and Energy Transition

The Centre for Climate Change and Energy Transition serves as a hub of research and expertise, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions, environmental stewardship, and climate resilience. Through rigorous research and a multidisciplinary approach, we provide evidence-based insights to inform global climate policies. Our work focuses on critical areas such as global climate governance, energy transition, climate adaptation, and climate finance—ensuring that India and the Global South play a decisive role in shaping the future of sustainability.

Our Philosophy

Rooted in Indian philosophy, we uphold the deep interconnectedness of Prakriti (nature) and Prakrit (the people’s voice), believing sustainability must be embedded in daily life. Our approach combines science, policy, and lived realities to shape transformative climate solutions. With a focus on equity, clean energy, adaptation, and global energy security, we work to empower India and the Global South as leaders in climate discourse. Through rigorous research and cross-sector collaboration, we aim to bridge the gap between policy and practice—ensuring that ecological integrity and social progress evolve together in harmony.
