The Indian Defence Industry and the Private Sector

MP-IDSA and the Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) are hosting a high-level conference on “The Indian Defence Industry and the Private Sector” on 18 December 2025 at MP-IDSA, New Delhi. As India advances toward Viksit Bharat and strategic autonomy, the conference will bring together policymakers, armed forces leaders, industry experts, and academics to examine defence indigenisation, FDI policy, acquisition reforms, and defence budgeting. Through focused sessions on Atmanirbharta, private sector participation, and modernization funding, the dialogue aims to identify actionable pathways to build a future-ready, globally competitive Indian defence ecosystem.
