The Power of Partnership: Advancing India-Nepal Energy Cooperation

CRF, in association with the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA) and Kathmandu University, will convene a half-day symposium on “The Power of Partnership: Advancing India–Nepal Energy Cooperation” on 1 December 2026 at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur, Kathmandu. The symposium will bring together policymakers, industry, researchers and energy experts to examine how Nepal can harness its hydropower, solar and other renewable energy potential to advance economy-wide electrification and energy security. The discussion aims to focus on building a resilient energy future for Nepal and on advancing India–Nepal electricity cooperation through expanded cross-border trade, stronger transmission connectivity, regulatory coordination and access to regional markets.
