Financing India's EV Transition: Infrastructure, Capital and Policy Pathways
India's electric mobility transition is at a pivotal juncture. While policy incentives and growing market adoption have accelerated the uptake of electric vehicles, significant challenges remain in mobilising finance, scaling charging infrastructure, strengthening grid readiness, and building commercially viable business models across the EV ecosystem. As India seeks to achieve its climate, energy security, and sustainable mobility goals, the need for innovative financing solutions and enabling policy frameworks has become increasingly important.
In this context, Chintan Research Foundation is organising a policy dialogue on ‘Financing India's EV Transition: Infrastructure, Capital and Policy Pathways’ on 25 June 2026 at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The dialogue will bring together policymakers, financial institutions, industry leaders, infrastructure providers, researchers, and development partners to discuss the financing challenges and opportunities shaping India's EV ecosystem. Through expert deliberations and stakeholder engagement, the event aims to identify practical pathways for accelerating investment and supporting a financially sustainable and inclusive electric mobility transition.
