As the world enters a decisive decade for climate action, COP31 offers a critical opportunity to translate commitments into implementation and accelerate clean energy deployment across the Global South. With Australia assuming the Presidency of Negotiations for COP31, the Chintan Research Foundation (CRF), in partnership with the Australian High Commission, is organising a one-day symposium in New Delhi to foster dialogue on emerging climate and energy transition priorities across the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.

The symposium will convene policymakers, diplomats, industry leaders, financial institutions, researchers, and development practitioners around three interconnected pillars central to COP31's agenda: climate-resilient infrastructure and energy access; financing implementation through investable climate projects; and cooperation on clean technologies and critical minerals for energy security. Together, these sessions aim to generate actionable insights and strengthen international cooperation in the lead-up to COP31.
