Roundtable on Decarbonising India’s Cooking Sector

The Roundtable on Decarbonising India’s Cooking Sector aims to convene policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and development practitioners to deliberate on a pathway for transition to clean cooking in India. As cooking energy lies at the intersection of climate action, public health, energy security, and gender equity, the discussion will focus on scaling clean cooking solutions, including LPG, PNG, electric cooking, and biogas, with the aim of reducing emissions from the sector while ensuring universal access to clean energy. This will include examining existing policies, assessing required financing, infrastructure, and behavioural dimensions that shape the adoption of clean cooking solutions.
