Unlocking Mitigation Finance in India: Role of Financial Intermediaries
India's transition to a low-carbon economy will require unprecedented levels of investment, yet mobilising capital at the scale needed remains a significant challenge. While financing requirements continue to grow across renewable energy, electric mobility, green hydrogen and industrial decarbonisation, the role of financial institutions in enabling this transition has received comparatively less attention.
This webinar, organised by the CRF, will bring together leading experts from the banking, financial and climate policy ecosystem to examine how banks, NBFCs, development finance institutions and capital markets can accelerate mitigation finance in India. The discussion will explore key barriers to scaling climate finance, innovative financing solutions, risk-sharing mechanisms and the policy and regulatory reforms required to strengthen India's climate finance architecture. Drawing on insights from CRF's latest research, the webinar aims to foster a constructive dialogue on building a more resilient and investment-ready financial ecosystem for India's low-carbon transition.
