Spandan Sengupta holds a Master’s degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, with academic interests in environmental economics, climate policy, and the energy transition. His research interests lie at the intersection of environmental regulation and sustainable development, with particular emphasis on India’s environmental governance and enforcement mechanisms.He is particularly interested in understanding how environmental protection and economic growth can be reconciled through effective regulatory frameworks, evidence-based policymaking, and an equitable transition towards a low-carbon economy.
