Dr. Bidisha Bhattacharya

Dr. Bhattacharya is a Associate Fellow at the Chintan Research Foundation, where she heads research at the Center for Economy and Trade. She previously served as a Consultant to the Chairman of the Fifteenth Finance Commission, Government of India, contributing to policy design on fiscal devolution and resource allocation. In academia, she has taught courses as a Visiting Professor at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, with a focus on International Trade, Mathematical Economics, Operations Research, and Advanced Macroeconomics. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Gokhale Institute, where her thesis explored exchange rate dynamics in a multi-currency world.
