Ishita Sharma

Research Intern

Centre for Economy and Trade

Ishita is a Research Intern in the Centre for Economy and Trade at Chintan Research Foundation, where she works at the intersection of digital economy, trade and technology. Her research focuses on digital trade and e-commerce, WTO rules and mandates, cross-border data flows and data localisation, and digital infrastructure. Her work examines policy and regulatory developments in these areas, with a focus on their implications for India and the policy responses needed to navigate an evolving digital economy.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from Panjab University and a Master’s degree in Economics from Amity University, Noida. Prior to joining Chintan Research Foundation, she interned with Ernst & Young and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), contributing to research across economic and policy issues
