Centre for Climate Change and Energy Transition
Navya is a Junior Research Associate at the Ashoka Centre for a People-centric Energy Transition (ACPET), Ashoka University. Her work lies at the intersection of energy systems, development economics, and public policy, with a focus on long-term energy transition modelling in India. At ACPET, she contributes to integrated energy–economy modelling exercises that examine India’s long-term development trajectories and Net Zero 2070 pathways. Her work spans coal transition, transport sector decarbonisation, and scenario design using the Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning (LEAP) platform. She is also involved in translating quantitative modelling outputs into policy-relevant briefs and papers. With a background in Information Technology from Inderprastha Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Navya brings a strong quantitative and systems-thinking foundation to energy modelling. She is particularly interested in improving model robustness, ensuring methodological transparency, and enhancing the relevance of modelling for real-world decision-making in emerging economies.
